Restaurante O Monte

Restaurante O Monte is a family-run establishment located in Bodiosa, on the periphery of Viseu, Portugal. Originally established in 1994, the restaurant is currently managed by the third generation of the family under the leadership of Chef Marco Marques. The venue features two dining rooms with independent entrances, a total capacity for up to 100 guests, an outdoor terrace, and a small playground for children. The restaurant specializes in certified Vitela de Lafões, which is prepared in a traditional wood-fired oven alongside more contemporary culinary interpretations. The establishment also maintains a wine cellar featuring selections from the Lafões and Dão regions, which are available for both dining and retail purchase. In addition to daily service, the restaurant hosts private events such as weddings and baptisms.
